FOTS

What is FOTS?

  • Friends of Tacolneston School (FOTS) is a registered charity established to raise additional funds for Tacolneston Primary School (TPS) and its pupils.
  • We aim to provide additional facilities and equipment (through fundraising and grant applications) to enhance the education and enjoyment of school life for the pupils of Tacolneston Primary School.

It is run by a small friendly group of volunteer parents and teaching assistants.

Friends of Tacolneston School (FOTS) is run by a dedicated group of parents, carers and staff from the school.

FOTS have 2 main aims:

  • To provide additional facilities and equipment (through fundraising and grant applications) to enhance the education and enjoyment of school life for the pupils of Tacolneston Primary School
  • To encourage good relations between staff, parents and others associated with the school

We try to achieve these aims by organising fun activities for the pupils, parents and the local community

As a committee we meet regularly to organise fundraising activities and events for the school.

Projects that we have recently raised funds for include the new outdoor play equipment “The Big Adventure”; purchasing new library and guided reading books for the classrooms, den building equipment for outdoor education, and contributing towards the costs of school trips.

We hold regular fundraising events including the summer fayre, the spooky Halloween disco, Christmas fayre, jumble sales, second hand uniform sales, raffles, Bags2School textile recycling, fun runs and obstacle races as well as running stalls at local community events.

We are a friendly group of parents, and always happy to welcome additional members or helpers to the FOTS committee.  All the support that you are able to give either in time to assist at events, donation of items for raffles and cake baking is all gratefully received!
